i guess i'll attribute. i've been fortunate to meet two members here, who have come into my fish store. so there are only 2 people who have seen me. here i am (left) with the girlfriend on the right:

George, Correct me if I am wrong, but I was told once that hand gesture considered rude in Great Britain? I take no offense, I just want to know if I was misled for years. . .

That is how we say "I'm ok!" when scuba diving, so if it is rude then divers should get a new sign language

Cultural differences, I am aware that it is not considered offensive in the states, I grew up knowing it as 'OK' as well. I was told that someone ordered 3 eggs that way in Wales and really offended the server. I just want to verify the story for my own curiosity.

No, it's not rude in the UK. I believe it may be in certain areas of Brazil though.

We are both divers (I've also been to Belize) and I think the photo was taken just after some story telling!

i could ask my brazilian friends about that one...although i do know that it is offensive if you hit the bottom of your fists together at someone...its like when we give the middle finger (in brazil)

I dislike photos of myself a little less than my wife does her photos. So, in the interest of self preservation, I've cropped myself out of a picture of us prior to our wedding - dressed nice and tidy with a little more hair than today. Not hip or cool, just 53.
