What kind of fish would you like to see on a shirt?

I've been really wanting to get some cool fish/fish keeping shirts but haven't found much I liked, so I've decided I'd like to try having my own made through one of those sites where they print and sell your designs.

I'd like to start off doing shirts of different kinds of popular aquarium fish (though I'm open to other suggestions as well).

Here's the concept for my tiger barb design I've got in the works. (According to fishbase, my genus name is wrong, though.) They probably won't be all quite the same format, but most likely all just two colors, an outline and a detail (i.e. the red on the tiger barb's nose and fins).
I'm thinking I'll probably do bettas, angels, and goldfish as well, since they tend to be popular.

So if you could have any fish on a shirt, what kind would you want? And which species do you think would be most popular?

I think your concept is pretty cool. Fish like Neon tetras or fancy guppies would probably work well on a t-shirt, as well as fish like cory's. Species that aren't too obscure so that people without a vast knowledge about fish could maybe recognize it, as well as species that are popular, like you've already said.

I think your idea of making your own t-shirts is really cool, it'd be great to see more designs in the future!

Thanks for the suggestions!

So my current list:
- Tiger Barb (design stage)
- Betta fish
- Angel Fish
- Goldfish (design stage)
- Neon Tetra (design stage)
- Fancy Guppy
- Cory Catfish
- Axolotl?

I was also thinking I might do some of the more common fish among actual fish people, once I get a bunch of the obvious ones anyone would recognize down. Like GBRs maybe? I don't know, it would depend on what anyone would be interested in. No point of making the design if no fish people would want it.

I'll definitely share future designs here as well and (after I check the rules and make sure it's allowed) I'll link to them on whatever site I go through to make them so anyone interested can get one.

Also, I'm looking at using RedBubble to have these made. Any opinions on that?

rainbows.
different varieties of betas (one per shirt)
koi.
a bunch of ottos sticking all over the shirt would be funny.

Arowana. A bamboo shrimp. A betta. School of celestial pearl danios. German blue ram. A shubunkin might be especially stunning for your goldfish idea, and you could do that in two colors. White fabric, red-orange and an off-black for delineation and the markings.

Angelfish is a brilliant idea! I also think the oscar is a good idea as well. I think you could try and include plecos, and maybe african butterfly fish or something. Hatchet fish could be cool as well

New list with all of the new suggestions!

In parentheses before the type of fish will be the number of people requesting a certain species (may sway which get done first) and asterisks for fish I’ve added to the list. In brackets after are any specifications I’ve added, mostly as notes to self. In parentheses at the end is notes about the stage the design is in, if it’s been started.

Also looking for opinions on RedBubble? They offer an assortment of choices and as the buyer, you would get to decide what you'd like the design printed on. So if I set these to be able to be printed on shirts, you as the buyer could choose from Unisex T-Shirt, Scoop Neck, Unisex Tank Top, Women's T-Shirt, V-Neck, Racerback Tank, Baseball 3/4 Sleeve, Long Sleeve, Organic T-Shirt, Organic Women's T-Shirt, Sweatshirt, Hoodie (Pullover), or Hoodie (Zipper). I've never bought clothes through them before, though, so I don't know what the quality is like.

And I just wanted to let you guys know that I am currently going through physical therapy on my wrist on my drawing hand, so I will be slower than I normally would in drawing these and may not have any finished products for awhile. Drawing traditionally is much easier than drawing digitally right now and I don't want to put the effort into trying to polish designs up if I can't do it right. But they will definitely be happening sometime soon.

Also thanks to everyone that's complimented me on the tiger barb design!
