Diffuser breaking in tank?

Hi everyone,
I bought a co2 system from someone on this forum and set it up last night. When I woke up this morning half of the diffuser is sitting at the bottom of my tank almost like it got cut from the other part. Has anyone had this problem before? Did I just get sold a terrible diffuser or did I do something wrong. Please Help. Thank you.

that happened to me once.. i'll never use a standard in tank diffuser again because of it. i broke another in half while trying to clean it, they're just super brittle. basically it sounds like the disc got clogged and the pressure caused the glass to break.

Im kind of annoyed. I only had the co2 going for maybe 4 hours.. So just spend a little more money and get Do!Aqua or ADA or something?

wow i've never had this happen. what's the pressure set at? i've used rhinox, and fleabay glass ceramic discs and have never had an issue. neither with pressure or depth. have use them between 20- 35 psi low ad high bubble counts

even if the disc was so clogged the c02 could not escape. it will still only build whatever pressure ur regulator is set to.. plus the pressure of depth of tank.. but that was there before anyways. because most diffusers don't work till 30 psi. so there is at least tha tmuch pressure there already

yeah, pressure could've built up to the pressure in the tank and ya, popped the glass. I use paintball co2 as well and went to an inline atomizer and haven't looked back.
