75 Gallon Dry Start Method

Here's the setup for my new 75 gallon aqueon tank. I've started it with:

mopani wood
cedar? driftwood
large Mexican beach pebbles
lava rock - deep to build up slope

Micro Sword (Lilaeopsis Brasiliensis)
Petite Nana (Anubias Barteri v. Nana 'petite')
Amazon Sword (Echinodorus Amazonicus
Red Flame Sword (Echinodorus Schlueteri x Barthii 'Red Flame')
Dwarf Baby Tears (Hemianthus callitrichoides)

Some stem plants to follow.

You might want to be careful with that cedar - it could contain toxins that may be harmful to your livestock. It really depends on how old the piece is.

I like your hardscape! It looks really good so far. I actually just bought some Mexican beach pebbles as well to use in one of my own hardscapes. Looking forward to seeing this progress!

That piece of wood is the constant in all my tanks. I've had it for over 10 years. Thanks for the warning though.

Swamp cedar, the typical cedar found in Florida is great driftwood.
Eastern fresh cut red cedar is not good.

All the driftwood at the Tamp bay Aquarium is swamp cedar.
I've used it for several large tanks.

The last of Eco Complete arrived. I finished filling in and planting until flooding.
