Repashy Superfoods Discussion thread!
Please post any discussion here.
I will be receiving my first shipment of food in the next few days. Keep in mind, I can get any diet from the SuperFoods line (herp diets as well). Sizes larger than 4 oz I will have to special order, as I got in the smaller bags to start out. I am happy to do this, just let me know! Packages can be shipped first class or priority. |

I can take orders at any time. I placed my first wholesale order last week and expect to receive it in the next couple days.
I can always buy the larger sized packages, or any of hte herp line, for those who are interested. I bought the smaller two sizes to start so that people could try them out. Special orders can be done at any time. |

Here are some examples of different sized fish eating the foods.
I use it in many ways beyond just blocks. I paint it onto driftwood for plecos to graze on, dip terra cotta discs into it for aufwuchs grazers, and fill snails shells with it for some other fish. |

So it is sort of like mixing Jello and you make it into cubes or something with a mold or else you coat things with it?

Wow! Great pictures. Looks like the new product is popular with a lot of different species. I am very pleased to see it can be layered onto surfaces. This will be great for my Oto's and Red Neon Gobies. Can't wait to get my order!

Please note, you can alter the amount of water added in order to make it a little thinner for a longer workability time. I would encourage you to make a small batch the first time until you see the timing on the gelling agents. Its also why Allen suggests microwaving it in the container you are going to be mixing in. Instead, I use a warmed container and then add the powder to water I boil (I am a weirdo and don't like microwaves, lol). Another nice thing about this food is that you can easily make medicated batches of food. Its a great way to deliver meds, especially parasite meds, in a more palatable way. Cheaper and more effective than dosing the water column as well. It can be refrigerated, or frozen. Please note that if you freeze it, be sure to separate the pieces as it will stick to itself. I use layers of saran wrap then put it in freezer ziplocks. There is a TON of versatility and applications for this food. I really look forward to the feedback on how others end up using it. I know I have really enjoyed the process of trying it and seeing how it can applyto so many of my critters. |

I'll pick up some of this when I get my fish from you! I followed the thread and saw how much different species of fish really like it. Any word on getting this to float for those that eat from the surface?

I have been feeding this stuff almost exclusively to all my fish and inverts for over a month now (Thanks Rachel) and I highly recommend it. Both my piggy fish and inverts as well as my picky ones eat it up. They love it, and to be honest I seem to see a lot more healthy growth now that I have started using these. They are GREAT for fry grow out tanks since the fry can just graze on them. My blue eyed L144s also LOVE the soilent green even though they are normally a bit more picky than my other plecos. I have been super happy and impressed with the results and I am so glad you have them available now Rachel. As soon as I run out of this last batch I will be ordering more from you. If it hasn't been mentioned already, the mixes make a really good amount of food, so it takes a while to run out. I like to just mix enough for one week at the beginning of each week and keep it in the fridge, but you can make a lot and freeze it too.
Baby L144...and some pest snails on the soilent green lol ![]() Shrimp Souffle ![]() Shrimp Souffle

I just haven't had issues with fish seeking it outon the bottom, so haven't worried about playing around with that. Quote:

Is this the same food that the crested geckoes eat?

Its the same developer, but a different line of foods. This food actually became a concept because some fishkeepers took teh tadpole diet and tried it out with fish. Allen has spent the past year refining the ingredients and formulating diets for fish.
Not sure how many know it, but while Allen is world famous for his work with reptiles and nutrition, he was a fish keeper first! This was a progression based on his passion for high quality foods. I k now I have spent over half a year working with him on these, as have a few other key people. I can also order his reptile line of foods and supplements, for any who are interested. |

random question, what determines the quality of the food (either for shrimp or fish)? there are so many varieties i usually have a hard time choosing then i just grab the one that says color enhancing and it becomes their diet.
