Um...get expensive? They start expensive and stay there, haha. Nice rides you have there, love the vintage boomerang! I have a vintage blackfoot and astute from my days as a pre teen. A racing buddy of mine is selling a Baja 5b converted to electric, all tricked out, stupid fast. I want it, and even though it's like half off retail with all the upgrades, I can't do it. I just dropped a large chunk of change on the new Tekno eb48 and all the assorted electronics for it. Never mind the fact I don't know where I would run the Baja. My property is better suited for my summit. All hills, rocks, roots...I love that truck!

When you actually think about what your getting at the price, it isn't that bad. I've seen some 1/8th get close to the same price once you add the good gear. I was hesitant about dropping that kind of cash on my 5B, but once I got it and realized what you get for that price- I bought a second one a few months later. If you are a RC enthusiast you can't really go wrong with 1/5th. The Brushless is cool, but I think I will stick with gas- Can't beat those 40 min runtimes. Someone should start an RC post.

True, they're all too expensive. By the time I factor in a couple 4s battery packs for the new 8th buggy, I'll almost be at the cost of the Baja. It really is more about where I would run it, a big field or at the track is the only place I can think of, which is the only place I run all my race rigs anyway....stop making me think about it! No more rc's for me this year, I need to save some of my money....right?

I pick up and lose interest in things quickly. Sometimes they stick and become permanent. Normally I just do them hour after hour until I get to something considered "hard" if that makes sense....
Kind of like how one day I was bashing my head on the counter over an origami crane, and two weeks later I was punching my desk in over the ancient dragon (btw totally not the hardest one.. Chocobo was so much harder). I stopped for a while after that because it was considered a hard origami. I got back into it though and fold almost everyday since then.

And I go to Disneyland around 2 - 3 times a week... Not sure if that really a hobby though. More like a really unhealthy obsession.
Go origami!

AD ain't that hard. Got it down in 2hours after I found the perfect paper for it...

P.S. Tissue foil ftw.

I used to draw all the time, spent 4 years in art school. Post up some pics of your work if you can, I'll get some up of mine later. I fish all the time, living lakefront makes it easy. I release mine though, not that i wouldn't eat them, i love to eat fish. Just would rather catch them again with more weight on them.

If lawn mowing were a hobby it would by no means be cheap. A good ride on zero turn can run $20k+ easily!
That's what I was going to say! Mowers are expensive!
