Never. My daughter is 2.5 years old and helps me feed the fish. Do water changes. Hand me rocks and plants when I rescape. Haha.

He may be too young to read that magazine now, but never too young to learn the hobby. If you think about it, a baby is like the planted tank process. There's a dry start, then it's flooded. You do a change to bring down ammonia levels and repeat that process often as you watch it grow into a thing of beauty and wonder.

Enjoy your son and your tanks - in that order!
