Hello fellow members. I'd like to kindly let you guys know about our new breeder box we have available. It also serves as a refugium chamber. Start selective breeding those CRS!

External HOB Refugium / Breeder Box
+Air Pump Included

The external Hang on Box by Finnex is a must have multifunctional aquarium add-on for those with limited space. This space saving design provides a clear observation area for your intended purposes. All accessories, including a Finnex P-2000 air pump and air line, are include to get the system of your choice up and running out of the box.

The multifunctional box can be used as a refugium filtration system where pods and cheato can further cycle one's aquarium as well as lowering nitrates. Remove the removable baffles for additional space and attach any cliplight to have your refugium thriving. The box may also be used as a quarantine area for sick or fish needing a quite zone to re-coupe. Ideal for both fresh and saltwater aquariums, some may use it to selective breed their most prized shrimps and fish. Or, simply use it to house a betta, without having a bulky housing taking up space inside your aquarium.

Our nano version, not available, in action. Bottom V not included.

It can fit on rims below 1". It also has a leveler for those with smaller rims.

seems like all the big companies now are trying to copy the original chinese one's and have some of these for sale.. these finnex one's look pretty nice though.. especially with that built in light, nice idea ^^

edit: well i guess its not 'built in' but it is a finnex light that fits on it fine by the looks of it, so basically the same thing.

Actually it looks similar if not identical to a Japanese Product I was trying to get shipped too me. The Japanese one comes in three different sizes though, this is 95-100% of the Largest one and comes with a Air Pump too boot. Shame it won;t fit my Rim

We have decided to carry a light that fits this breeder/refugium for those who want to see their prized live stock or to help grow macro algea for saltwater setups. The light will also feature moonlights!

I have the marina version and I had to stop using this because the air pump design and water gurgling was too much.

Could that be because my pump was too strong?

Could be. The pump we use is not dead silent but noise level is not worth noting in the least bit. If you like, we can offer the Finnex pump we use. PM me.

I'm liking the light. Would you be able to hook up a powerhead on the intake?

Hi Ren. I'm sure you could attach a small one on their with little troubles if you have an open mind. The intake strainer cap is removable so you'd need to be creative to make that tube to powerhead connection. Doesn't seam to difficult in the least bit!

ID/OD is 11mm/13mm respectively.
