I think it looks awesome. I am not a connoisseur of wabi-kusa, but I like the way it looks, and that is the most important thing right? Good job though.

Forgot to mention that the plants are about a 60%/40% mix of aquatic/terrestrial plants

I'm diggin'! Your plants look much more healthy than mine, let's see some new pics.
Any secrets to your "substrate clump"?

I turned a vase very similar to that one into a great little planted vase... Nice to see other ideas too. Gotta keep us updated on this one!

Ok I started this as sort of an experiment to see what would survive or thrive in these conditions. That's why I put so many different plants in. And to my surprise just about 95% of what I started with made the transition very well. I trimmed off the bits that died off(most of them grew back) and removed a few plants that either didn't make it or I didn't like the look of. Also I took it out of the vase because it was really difficult to trim with it in there and some of the stems were leaning on the glass and didn't grow strong enough at the base to stand. Also I kept getting mosquito larve because I couldn't get all the water out. I'm going to make a plant list later tonight. And there are a lot of plants that I could get pics of because of where I have it sitting. But I will try to get pic of everything soon.Anyhow here's what it looks like now(even better than I expected) ignore the filthy tank I have it in temporarily until I figure out a peminate bowl or something to put it in. Let me know what you think

Notice the flower bud at the top it some kind of local wildflower/weed I haven't id'd yet

right side you can see the tiny bit of Hc,hydrocotyle japan, riccia, and Lillaeopsis 'Mini" among others

left center my favorite plants on here Syngonanthus sp belem,Bolbitis heteroclita, and dwarf cardinal plant

Some more random shots

And here's a couple pics of a new "mini-kusa" I start a couple weeks ago. It's about the size of a golf ball. I'm not done planting it and some of the plants are still making the transition.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I added the plant list to the top. I think I got all of them I'm not quite sure there are a lot.
