buying crs online is good too
two weeks ago,i bought 10 crs from kangshiang on this website
came from CA to philly, took only 2 days
arrived well , 10+2 crs and shipping for $50
they all survived so far in 20gal tank , 8.8 fluval shrimps subs

One fishroom I want to visit is Dan's, he runs a angelfish hatchery in Parkesburg, which is about an hour from me. I'm located in delco right outside southwest philly. Come summer time I'm gonna make a trip and pick up some breeding stock and start raising angels. That's IF I don't catch an auction win for some of River11's angels on aquabid. I'd probably still visit and buy another strain just to support a local breeder.

Blue pearls are clear, with a light blue tint. Not sure if you were expecting a solid blue color or something?

The shrimp you purchased are still juveniles, they become a bit darker as they mature. Blue pearls vary in color, as stated here -"Blue Pearl Shrimp range in color from almost white to a nice light blue color. The intensity of their blue depends on genetics and the water conditions of the shrimp. As with most species the female is more colorful and is generally a darker blue color." So, I would say check your water parameters also and make sure they are on a dark substrate. Please pm me in the future if you have further questions about your purchase. Thanks! i guess ur blue is as same as my greens
all of my males are pale , almost no color
however all of females are nicely green lol

that's how it is with most shrimp species.

Yep, in the photos you can see the larger more mature shrimp have more blue hue next to the smaller juvies, but not all are going to be SUPER blue, color varies.

Of course, i come home...and they are blue! haha. I guess they were just getting used to the new tank. I love them though. They act different them my Cherries, which is actually what I wanted. Thank you so much!
