Old "live reef" sand?

years ago i had reef tanks and only saltwater, and now im starting up my first planted tank. for substrate, i was wondering if this old sand from my saltwater tanks would be alright? i washed it and then baked it in the oven to kill off anything. would it be suitable? thanks

It is probably a calcium carbonate sand, so no, it isn't good for a planted tank, except perhaps for an African Cichlid tank.
