old tank repair
I was given an old tank 2 days a go and going over the tank I can see the the tank has been taken apart in the past and re sealed but it looks like a real soft silicon and it looks like the white stuff thats used in the bathrooms.
my questions are:- 1 when I pull apart the tank and clean it all up do i put a small amount of silicon between the glass joins and how much? 2 is there an easer way of fixing this tank up? 3 should I just pull it all apart and just make up some plywood tanks lol? |

I am no expert when it comes to join tank but silicon glass you can not have any air pockets that I know. You probably are not going to see it but there are there. I think it comes down to how much is this tank worth to you? Given the time it would take you to get it where you want, you are probably better off just getting a brand new tank.
