Algae Grower
|
My tank has a red afro now what?????
So I had an algae problem and used Excel, now I have red algae every where. At lest when it was green you really couldn't notice it that much. So the question is what should I do ? Try to pick it all out or what?
And in my other tank it did nothing, my algae is pearling, my drop checkers are yellow and it is growing like crazy. It almost seems like it grows less without co2. Any suggestions ?????? |

My amano shrimp love eating the dead staghorn after Excel.
Is it the same algae in both set ups? |

Red cherry shrimp love to eat dying algae. 10 of them can clean out a tank in about a day.

The development of red algae in a saltwater tank is a natural. This type of algae does not adhere strongly to the tank surfaces, and is easily wiped away. And, what "ghotifish" has explained will definitely work for you to remove the red algae from the tank.
