diwu, I already did a WC and cleaned up pond right after, all fish seems ok. Actually I was lucky that he throw in a WHOLE puff. if it was a halfway eaten one, the internal fillings of the puff might cause some serious water contamination.

Just a little update.
The floaters seem to be adjusting to the low sunlight that they're getting under the porch. The turn themselves to smaller sizes and they start to multiplying as well. Not really worth a pic yet. Other plants seem to be doing well. The lily plant now has 5-6 flowers... The Java fern is growing nice in there... bright green leaves. i really should remember to take a photo of it later.. I'm still thinking what to do on the platform. My current thoughts is just to put lots of cactus plants in small pots on there.

What if you just move the filter off the platform and hit it between some rocks? Would that work? Save you the trouble
