sword plant order

I am interested in ordering a red rubin sword and some red crypts.

First of all, I have never had any crypts, but seen pics of some really nice red ones planted in the foreground that don't grow very tall. What are the names of these very red ones? Almost all websites that document plants with pics dont show any crypts that are red (or at least that I have noticed). I imagine some get red in higher lighting, but still don't know which versions they are/what they are called.

What is a good online retailer to get these red crypts and a red rubin sword from? I have not been that impressed by any of them really in regards to plants given the same name, but really a totally different version of that plant depending on the store (i.e. red temple vs green temple vs. alternanthera with pink undersides etc). Therefore not sure who has the real thing so to speak.

Any ideas?

Take a look at our sponsors website. I've order from most of them and been very happy with my order. I think aquabotanic is having a sale and Robert know his stuff too.

As for crypts, I had a couple, but they only turned bronze for me. IME, they all get big after a while. It's the nature of plants. I would surf around the 'photo album' here to get some ideas. If you find a plant you like, just PM the person and ask them what it is. Heck, they might even offer you a cutting of it.

Good Luck
