Oh yes! That is for sure else it ends up looking like a bird feeder. I think I have decided to stain it a medium to dark color for now. I will add the top and bottom shelves today once I get a trip out to Lowe's. The power strip and under cabinet lights should be pretty simple. Open concept for now I think and if I don't like it then I can always face it with some nice wood since it is not horribly big it won't be a thousand dollars of cherry wood. LOL

More importantly you're less likely to cut off digits during the use of power tools.

The bill from the county for the fire rescue is enough to justify purchasing the ADA stand w/lights.. wait, some quick math says I could add soil and tools to the order. Maybe I should go that route next time I sell the idea to the wife.

Any updates to this? Flooded yet? No leaks? Thinking about derimming mine :/ one corner is derimmed, if I don't do the rest it'll look very awkward.

It's been in service now for a month and zero problems.

I am in Windermere. The tank is doing great. I have done two 50% water changes and that was in the first couple of weeks while I was planting and moving stuff around. Since then only top offs of about 1 gal/wk due to evaporation. Some random plant trims every few weeks as necessary and clean up of any leaves floating around. Also removing the excess salvina which is almost weekly. Other than that and feeding the shrimp which number in excess of 500 by the looks of it... not a single thing insofar as maintenance. I never got the overhead light from Catalina because after a couple of emails and voice mails they never called me back so the shop light from Lowe's I bought has remained. I will take some pics tonight because the location and the light from outside washes out the pictures horribly. But man I have hundreds and hundreds of cherries now. I bought 20 from a couple of different people to diversify the gene pool and what I have is actually much more red than what I have been receiving.

another failed attempt at getting a decent pic. will try again tomorrow in the light to see what I can come up with. it being in the window is a pain for pics. trust me though, it is an overgrown shrimp jungle.

It's a jungle pretty much. I would need a mulcher to get through the top layer now.
