Nice tank. I've been using Jobes plant food spikes for "lush palms and ferns". Or Jobes plant spikes "for large indoor plants". I usually break them in half and insert them into the substrate next to the heavy root feeders like swords and Bacopa. Try a couple at first and monitor the nitrates. Once you plant the spiles in there, be careful about disturbing the substrate around the spikes in the future because it can kick up the nitrates into the water column.

Beautiful tank! What do you mean the plants don't look so hot? They look fantastic! What sort of plant is in the center rear, just to the right of the filter intake tube? Looks sort of like Water Sprite, but I'm not sure.

You could use some darker colored plants to contrast against that gorgeous bright green growth youv'e got going. Even a large Crypt would be easy and would contrast really well against the background.
