my 16 gal lee mar low tech tank

This is my 16 gal tank, home to cherry shrimps, plecos, cordyoras and some spixi snails. Crypt parva for foreground, bolbitis and java fern in the back with some moss floating here and there.

I'm using an 14-LED fixture in its lowest setting... I cranked it up for the picture.

I've set it up many different ways before. I will have to check if I have pics of my other failed attempts LOL.

Edit:

This was an attempt at iwagumi style scape. This didn't last very long, the rocks were leaching silicates and it made a brown diatom mess in the tank. Excuse the crappy cell pics.

clearly we have diff interpretation of 'low tech'.

tell us more about the LED, what you mean in its lowest setting? what LED are u using

I think the wood looks great, a solid hardscape.

The LED fixture is a recent addition so I forgot about that part of the 'tech'. It had a 24" 65W CFL on it before, no CO2, some dry ferts when I remember.

The fixture has 14 3W CREE LEDs and is dimmable, that's what I was referring to as lowest setting. I acquired the fixture from a local member and fixed it up a little bit. I have a short thread in the DIY section about it.

I was thinking two 10W on a 20 long 1800LM too strong?

Neat.

What are the dimensions on the tank?

Is this a custom rimless or a derimmed standard tank?

What do you think of the quality? I am in talks with an lfs for a rimless leemar, with a price point comparable to Ada, the difference is I can go see Ada gear, and am relying almost entirely on recs for leemar, except that the store has a 20 year old 450gal reef rank they say has drained 100% 2 times in service...the seams are nice though.

LOL, you know what I don't remember what the dimension is

The quality is not the same as the ADA ones or maybe even the GLA tanks. I won it from a club raffle so I put it to use. I've had it for maybe about 4 or so years now and still going strong. I should've taken care of hard water deposits on the rims better during the early years because it's close to impossible to remove now.
