Red filamentous algae?
I just added a piece of driftwood from my LFS and attached my Java fern. This morning I woke to find bright red filamentous algae on the edge of all the leaves. Does anyone have experience with this?

Bright red suggests BBA, or some other algae in the Rhodophytas family, that's now dying. It might not have been noticeable in its normal color. I'm guessing you probably have Excel or CO2 injection that killed it.
