Assuming it works, that's an incredible deal. $110 is a great price for the 20lb tank alone.

i can't see the name of the regulator, im assuming the specs are pretty decent, i dont think many people who go with a 20 lb tank dont know their stuff on regs... but then again i don't really know my stuff, I'm considering a 65g dirt tank but need to do some research

Not that it matters at that price, but is this a pre-assembled rig, or just some pieces you'll need to put together? And is there any guarantee that it works?
If it's a pre-assembled rig that works, it's an unbelievable deal. Though you'll still need to invest in a needle valve. |

Heck, even if the DS turns out to be a SS, the solenoid is blown, and the bubble counter is cracked, a 20lb tank at $110 is pretty darn hard to beat. And you could sell the SS reg for 20 bucks. I would, anyway.

It looks older make sure it can still be refilled, it will need to be Hydro tested and restamped if it is older than 12 years I believe.

Well, that's a single stage Aquatek regulator with a preset working pressure. New, it costs maybe $75 shipped. And you're right, that looks more like a 10lb tank. This just became a realistic deal.
Assuming the Aquatek is functional, I'd probably pay $40-50 shipped if I were in desperate need of a used rig. The 10lb tank, however, is still worth some cash. Not quite $110, but getting close. Figure $80-90 maybe. So ....if it were me, I'd probably buy the whole thing, sell the Aquatek rig for $40, and have just spent $70 on a 10lb tank, which is a good deal. If you're looking for your first CO2 setup, and you're willing to go with a used rig, $110 is still a very good price for everything you need. Again, assuming it works. NOTE: Aquatek is not a "good" brand. It's cheap. Which may be exactly what you want to get into CO2. Up to you. |

Just understand that you won't be able to use an Atomizer diffuser with that regulator because of the preset (fairly low) working pressure. Other than that, it does everything you need it to do. And yes, you'll need a diffuser, and maybe some tubing. But that's 5-10 bucks.
