ball of furs in my tank...

Hello everyone, could you please look up to below pictures i've just taken:

Could you tell me how do i get rid of this furry creatures?

I change water very ocassionaly for the last few months. I don't make any maintenances on neither internal or external filters. To be honest i don't do much except feeding the fishes and turning lights on and off daily. Please give me a solution for these algaes first then i'll have some enthusiasm for other duties i have to.

That's BBA. Black Brush Algae.

Yea, that's why i'm not sleeping in the same room with my tank. They may crawl out of the tank and gnaw my ears.

I have something very similar to that except it is darker brown and grows on the tips of my swordplant.

BBA. Good luck.... Excel will kill it, but it needs to be manually removed.

Too Much light, too little co2 and ferts.

Also, you might want to clean your filter. Decreasing the organics in your water could help.

Unstable or low CO2. Nutrient overdose.

You need to increase or stabilize CO2.

Siamese Algae Eater eat this type of Algae.

That is BBA and Siamese algae eaters do eat it as stated above. I would clean out the filters and I would manually remove as much as possible. Remove the pebbles, wood and decorations with BBA and soak them in a 10:1 bleach to water solution for 24-48 hours. This should kill the BBA. Rinse well with hot water and let air dry over night to allow any remaning bleach to evaporate. You can then put the hardscape back in the tank.

If you decide against CO2 I would reduce feeding and light and clean the filters more often. Actually, this is generally good maintenance anyway.

If you do get the siamese algae eater then make sure you get the true one. There are several other fish sometimes sold as siamese algae eaters that will not eat that BBA.

If you get SAE get young ones, my larger SAE quit eating algae once they were grown.
