You mean neocaridina or caridina cantonensis? Caridina is a pretty big family including amanos and babaulti

For the common folk here, I prefer neos since they are easy to take care of . You can easily pull a "oh crap!" moment and still have them live (some at least)!

I like Caridina because they're more of a challenge.

Just a suggestion, you should widen the question to be what is your favorite shrimp

If I had the kind of high end shrimp that you tend to keep a challenge would be the last thing that I would want.

I've had Neocaridina's for a while and I'm looking forward to seeing how Caridina's are, specifically the blue tigers.

Later on I might try Crystal shrimp but thats in the future.


BTW, neither type shrimp "freak" me out! LOL!
