Don't know if I want a BN pleco, otos, or chinese algae eaters... I'm worried that the otos might be too small and the angelfish will eat them though. Any advice on fish?

Go with ottos for sure I have 10 ottos with angels and a knife fish! They also do an amazing job of keeping my tank clean, my BN plecos ate all the algea and then decided to eat my plants after that, and as for chianese algea eaters, mine got to 5 inches and started to destory everything but the peaceful little ottos school everywhere and keep plants clean as well as the glass
for fish i have (in the 60) 4 emerald green corys, 2 angels, 10 ottos, one brown knife, 5 bolivian rams, 2 kribensis and two flying fox. Im also thinking of 10 marbled hatchet fish, 10 bleeding heart tetras or ten kuhlie loaches |

So a bit of an update as this tank been running for almost 3 weeks now. I had to pull the Anacharis as it was starting to die from the Flourish Excel I was adding to the tank. Not a big deal, I'll just find another plant to fill in the gaps. Maybe the Hornwort since that's been growing like crazy. I also JUST ordered all my macro fertilizers earlier in the week so they should be here either tomorrow or Saturday as I've noticed my swords aren't doing so hot right now. There are root tabs by them, which is helping, but the macro fertilzers will really help it grow. The tank water is discolored due to the driftwood added, but I'm OK with it. I will be doing a 90% water change before I add fish into it so the water is crystal clear.
Right now the tank is processing 4ppm of ammonia in a 24 hour period so I'm getting really close to being cycled. ![]() So full tank shot (disregard the discolored water as I will be doing a water change here soon): ![]() Here is my Crypt Wendtii. This stuff is growing pretty damn quick too. Some of this might actually end up in the SnS as I took 1 BIG plant and split it up into 11 smaller plants, but those are starting to get big themselves ![]() ![]() Finally my Wisteria which is LOVING the dirt. Some of this might end up in the SnS as well once it starts getting bigger ![]()

An update since I added my first group of fish in last night. I also did a MASSIVE 80% water change before adding the fish. My plants are doing awesome by the way. I thought they were worse than they were because I hadn't done a water change in a LONG time and the tannins really bad.
But anyway, on to what people are really interested in... the pictures Full tank shot: ![]() My NEW fish! HY-511 Tetra. I added 8 of these little guys. I LOVE their coloring, it's what sold me: ![]() ![]() Here's a few pictures of them schooling ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() :![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So that be it for now!

The tannins were a bit too much for me, I'm glad I did the massive water change. I don't mind a little discoloration, but it was pretty bad.
EDIT: They are similar to the Ornate Tetras. I'm really digging the fish

Quick update, I now have 12 HY-511's in the tank. I had to run out after work to pick some more up as the original 8 were loving the tank.
Next fish: either school of corries or an angelfish... haven't decided yet

UPDATE!
FTS: ![]() I pulled up all the Hornwort I had and it's now just floating, couldn't get it to root. Put some Wisteria in it's place. Moved a Crypt and Dwarf Sag around. Probably going to be getting some more plants for this tank this weekend as there is a swap meet by me. Hopefully I can find something good I also added 6 Sterbai Cory Cats about 2 weeks ago to this tank as well. Here are some pics of them: ![]()
