GSAS Plant Auction (Seattle)

GSAS Anouncement

"The annual GSAS Plant Auction is just over two weeks away! It will be held on
Tuesday, February 8th, 2005. If it's like previous years, bidding will start at
7:30, and there will be a lot of items to get through, so be there at 7 to
preview items.

We're purchasing several hundred dollars of wholesale plants from our friends at
African Northwest (which means the plants will be Florida Aquatic Nurseries
stock -- a good thing!). ANW is also supplying us with some bogwood. We
usually sell a fair amount of member-grown cuttings as well (sometimes can
outnumber the "pro-grown" plants). We usually try to give some descriptions of
the plants as they are sold, i.e., light requirements and difficulty. Expect
the full gamut there too, from common "beginner-friendly" to

Anyone can show up and bid, but you have to be a member to sell. Our usual
limit of 20 lots per seller applies. Please arrive early if you're bringing
things to sell. We cannot guarantee the auction workers will have time to check
in your items once the auction has started.

Also be advised this is at our NEW meeting location at SPU, at the North end of
Queen Anne. Directions and map are on our website,

I wasn't able to make it (got last minute Sonics tickets). How was it?
