2.2 Gallon Nano Tank

This is my first ever Planted Nano Tank. It's a 2.2 gallon tank.

Equipment
8''x8''x8'' inches Rimless Tank
Aquaclear 20 Hang on Filter
ADA Amazonian II Substrate
Edge Rockstone

Plant
Dwarf Hairgrass

Fish

4 Rosy Red Minnows (Just added after waterchange today)
2 Unknown Snails

I was given this tank from a friend and it has travel 100 miles during the move to a new house. I didn't know what to do with it at first. While I was setting up my computer L desk, I thought it would look nice if I set up a Nano tank. Without any scape in mind being that I'm new to this growing plants underwater in aquarium tanks, I went and ordered a Dwarf Hairgrass pot and planted it. At the time I didn't have a light for it. Went on E bay and bought this 48 LED Nano clip on light ($14.39 shipped!) which I thought wouldn't grow plants but it did! I even found a way for it to attach onto the rear of my Aquaclear 20 perfectly! I like the simmer effect as well. It also have blue LED! You can switch between all White LED or Blue LED on, or Both! I like this tank because it's simple and easy to take of. Don't need to dose anything The Dwarf Hairgrass grew fine and fast. I will be housing Red/Pink Ramshorn snails in that tank soon. The Rosy Red Minnows will be move out.

The Aquaclear 20 strainer goes down too deep, if I used the strainer it will poke into the substrate. I took some fine stainless steel mesh and wrapped it around the "control adjustment strainer" instead. Eliminating the long attachment strainer.

Nice set-up! I am definitely going to check out that light. Love that little tank.

Looks great! I love rimless tanks, they look soooo much better than rimmed tanks.
