Well, my comet goldfish is now 7 inches, so i decided to make him his own thread.

Good looking comets! Do you feed ProGold exclusively? I found some of my GF get floaty on straight Progold, both fancies and comets. But I can use it in gelfood OK.

mostly pro-gold, but occasionally they they get a treat, i prefer things high i carotene like blood worms and chopped krill

did you raise him from a baby? the pet store near me wants 23$ for a 2 inch long one, which is kinda funny since they are so cheap as feeders (probably because they almost all die).

sweet! imo comets are the nicest goldfish. i don't really care for fancy goldfish or the ones that look super deformed.

how come most comet goldfish I see in the store are stressed (all clumped up in the corners)?

how big are they? the small ones are usually designated "feeders" and aren't fed. most are pretty much dead...

if they are adults... not sure, guess the tank conditions are poor (highly likely at a LFS)
