Do i need nutrients?

ok, i got a 10 gallon tank, 2.6wpg, with about 80% flourite substrate in it, along with some dwarf hygro, dwarf ambulia, java moss, some water wisteria and some dwarf rotala. should i be adding flourish and flourish excel? i want the plants to be healthy, but since its a 10, i dont want them growing out of control! can anyone give me any advise on if i should use flourish and flourish excel in it, and what a healthy dose would be for the plants, without having to trim the plants daily! thanks!
