What algae is?
My tanks been running on co2 for 2 months and now it is covered in algae, I'm bot sure if its to much light or the co2.
![]() ![]() ![]() Can some on tell me what algae it is and how I can get rid of it? |

try cutting back the lights for time kept on. it will take some time to show affectiveness.
direct or indirect sunlight will also have a affect. |

Diatoms - totally normal.
Manually remove as much as possible (a small siphon hose helps), during a water change, then add about 15 Amano shrimp per 20 gallons and some ocats and it'll clear within 24-48 hours. |

I have got 3 Otos and had a little clean up so Hopefully I have it under control, thanks for the help everyone.
