Best place to buy plants?

I am new to plants and wonder where you veterans get your plants from? Some good online store you can trust? Any recommendations for low light ground cover. I just purchased a coralife HO compact flor for my tank and looking for a good ground cover that will work with that kind of light? I have been told by some friends that its impossible to grow grown covers with compacts is this true?

Welcome!
I've had good luck with Aquabotanic. Also, keep an eye out here and look at the swap and shop area. I got some nice plants from Rayhwong on here, and I got some Hemianthus from Gomer recently.... the trades worked out nicely.
I'm sure there are low light ground covers you can grow. Just keep checking back and someone will list a bunch for you!

Anything potted (such as hairgrass), by all means buy it from one of our sponsors. Some of the neatest stemplants and mosses are sometimes available by kind members for the price of postage. That's one of the most fun things about this hobby!

Welcome tritan! Glad to have you aboard!

How much light over how big an aquarium? Without knowing that I am not sure what your lighting is!

If you do have low light, Marsilea would make a nice foreground plant. Pretty green leaves, quite often clover shaped. It would do well in a lower light set up.

AquaBotanic is a great place to buy plants. The Swap and shop is another great place. Both sources provide healthy, relatively algae free plants at good prices.

Mike

I have a 28 gallon hex with a CF 28watt 50/50 bulb. I know I don't conform to the 3watts per gallon but seeing its a tall tank and not wide I figure I could grow some low light ground cover. I would like to change the front of the tank with some low grow ground cover and get rid of the melon swords as I have heard they can get big.
