CO2 Fill in Omaha

Where do you guys get your CO2 refills in Omaha? I have a 10# tank that I got filled at D&J Beverage, but they don't know how to fill the tank completely. I've been striking out by calling around, since most places seem to only do commercial work or tank swaps, which I'd like to avoid if possible.

every place is probably going to do tank swaps, Use AirGass I got my tank from them and they have all Alumminum 10lb tanks and are the cheepest.

Thanks man! I checked in there today, but they didn't have any aluminum ones on hand. He did refer me to General Fire Safety right down the road and they filled it on the spot for the same as I had been paying. Damn those tanks are cold when they first fill em up.

I swap mine at Linweld. Around $16 for 10#. I don't care what the tank looks like as it's hidden in my stand, so I don't mind swapping.

What's your PSI reading (room temp) after filling from General Fire?

It settled after the first day or so at a little over 700 psi (room temp usually 60-65), and should hopefully stay there a lot longer this time. The big thing to me was that when I got my tank filled at the other place it only weighed about 3 pounds over the tare weight, but this time it was right at 10 pounds over.

PSI does NOT matter... As long as there is liquid in the tank, the psi will be the same. It will not start dropping until the liquid is all gone and you are just about out of gas. Days, week, maybe hours, depending on tank size, operating pressure, and consumption.

I use linweld in SD, and they fill on the spot if I ask them. Airgas basically NEVER fills on spot, as they use central filling hubs. Unless you go to that hub, but still won't refill same day usually. You can get your tank back ifyou want to leave it for a day or two though.

Do the commercial gas places refill tanks the same way that the fire Extinguisher places refill? They should all fill by weight, right?
