More seriously to Van, thanks for the insight and knowledge. I'll try water changes for a bit and see how the female reacts. I'm only willing to do water changes in one tank just because I love my discus. They're the only fish I've ever liked this much. The rest of my tanks will continue without water changes for all eternity....

My kids think I've gone off the deep end since i set up a 55 and a 20 (and a temporary 5 for fry)...if i set up a 40B i think they'd call the fuys in the white jackets for me!!
But that doesnt mean I'm not tempted.....

Absolutely. Just need to give me a little notice so I can bring some plants to the office in West Chester for you. I live a little west of Downingtown, and that's where the goodies reside.

What kind of plants you got? I think I remember seeing lots of stem plants but you got any rooted plants that send off runners? Something like chain sword. I had a bunch of chain sword in my tank but after I tore everything up and stuck it in a bucket it's looking pretty crappy haha

I'm trying to find some Riccia fluitans, Ceratophyllum submersum, and willow moss... and everything else I don't have. Trying to start an emersed collection to do some doomsday preparation and some sick RAOKs to help others. It's more of a pain in the bum to find some species than it should be.
