LOL...who needs hookers when you have a girlfriend. Fish are doing extremely well, the meds really didn't affect them at all. My 3-week follow-up treatment is going to be at double strength what I did initially just to make sure there aren't any med resistant parasites still hanging around, but I think I won the war. Well worth the $$$ I spent on the meds that's for sure.

I had a hugely productive weekend. I started on 2 paludarium builds, broke down my ebi and rescaped the bed bully's tank. How was everybody else's weekend?

Mine was extremely productive as well, I got everything glued together on my central sump, but after just trying it out the overflows are pissing me off to no end. One will be fine and then other one won't keep pace, then they'll switch and one tank will start to almost overflow and I have to unplug the return pump to avoid a mess. Between the two overflows they should be able to handle the flow that's coming from the return pump...I just think that I might have done a crappy job solvent welding together the pvc or something and maybe it's not air tight. OR the thin mesh I have covering the overflows is actually too fine to the point where it traps an air bubble and doesn't let the water pressure going down the tube flow past it fast enough. Tomorrow I'll try pulling off the mesh and use something else that might let the water pass faster which would suck any air bubbles right down with it. But that means I'm going to need to be sure I get all the fry in breeding traps so they don't get sucked down the overflow.

If that doesn't work and the overflows are still being a pain in my ass, I'm going to take the time to run a bead of silicon around all the pieces that need to be absolutely air tight to make sure I didn't fudge up anywhere in the gluing process.

The last thing I'm going to try is actually restricting the flow from the return pump. I obviously don't want to do that, but as long as I have good surface agitation on the two tanks, I shouldn't have any problems with filtration. I do plan to use fast growing live plants in these two tanks eventually, but only after I've had the system running for a couple weeks and trust the overflows am I going to begin adding nitrate sucking plants.

It's times like these when I'm tired and pissed off with my tanks that I wonder...would I be happier if I just gave up on trying to do so much breeding and focused on making my planted tanks look nice. Answer: Yes, but its only a matter of time until I start back up again haha

Try drilling a hole just smaller than some airline at the apex bend of the overflow, then insert 2 lengths of airline into them. Just like drilling holes in caps of soda bottles for co2. That will create an air bleed. If it doesn't work, you can just snip the air line and fill it with silicone.

Did you include the air bleed pipe as well? It's the one without the cap on it
