Is PH fluctuation Normal ?

The Tank :

Size : 8 Gallon (30 Litres)
Substrate : Peat moss + Vermiculite + Coco Peat + Gravel (medium)
Co2 : DIY Co2 Kit @ 6 bubbles per minute
Light : 19 Watts Tube + 45 Watts Tube (Boyu)
Temp : 19 - 24 C (66 - 75 F)
Plants : Hemianthus Callitrichoides (Dwarf Baby Tears) +
Hygrophila Difformis (Water Wisteria)

The Issue :

My PH meter (Pinpoint) shows reading
as low as 6.4, when the lights are on and the Co2 is diffused
and
as high as 7.8 when the lights and Co2 are stopped.
Is that NORMAL ? My plants and shooting new shoots and seem to
be doing well.

I am also concerned as to what will happen when the fish come in.
Will this fluctuation of PH suit them.

CO2 will cause your ph to drop fairly quickly and then rise again when it goes off - this is normal and does not affect your fish. Mine fluctuates as much as 1.5 down and up.

On the other hand, drastic fluctuations in PH caused by changes in water chemistry can have negative affects on your fish, for example when you do a large water change or add substrate or certain types of rocks or chemicals to your tank.

I have read at Barrreport that in nature Ph fluctuation occur from daytime to nightime. Just want to be careful if you have sensitive fish like Ram cichlids. What fish are you getting?
