Capitol Aquarium high and dry?
Looks like this could be the last day for them.

We should be happy that we still have Exotic, JoJo's and AquaWorks. Plus O Street Aquarium.

Agreed. Sac is the best city I've seen for fish stores. We're really spoiled out here.

sounds like the property owners dont want them there. if they did it should be a simple pay it off and sign the dotted line. shame to see stuff like this happen when so many stores are closing.

It's really no surprise to the locals. The store is "ok" at best. They should have the upper hand on all other stores in the area, but they fail miserably. Still a bummer to see them go.

I can't see another viable use for that building. Perhaps as a relatively small nursery, maybe specializing in certain types of plants, or replace the building with something really useful, like another McDonalds?

I moved from Sac to Cleveland in June of 1999. Capitol was THE place to get fish and plants at the time. That's a shame.

I was there on their last day. I think I saw one of the members from here there, but was to shy to say hello.
I was eyeballing these rummy nose tetras, someone took them. But I finally found 1 in another healthy tank. I also picked up a cool set of cories. They now reside in a hospital tank just incase. But most of the tanks had either sick, or dead fish. There was one tank full of cories, and I spotted cories with cotton mouth, dropsy, and yuck! Felt sorry for the guys. But I picked up 5 cories, and 1 rummy nose and 2 huge filter sponges for 12 dollars.
