successful growing dwarf hairgrass, but my shrimp population died out :"(
its been about 2 or 3 months and i decided to go a nice ADA setup
AFA finally got their shipment in, i drove there right after work.
But it was a hour drive.... :/

Tank:
ADA 60p

Hardware:
Fishneedit 2x24watt (1 pink, 1 white) might go 4x24watt
Eheim 2213 (84 dollars shipped 2nd day air plus tax! )
Hydor ETH 300 watts inline heater
Inline Diffuser from theshrimplab
Paintball Co2 with swagelok needle valve
Lily Glass Pipes from theshrimplab
Fluval bubble counter
knock off drop checker from ebay

Substrate:
ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia II Normal 9 liters
ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia II Powder 9 liters (use half of bag)

Flora:
8 pots of HC :p
some dwarf hairgrass
some unknown plants with red leaves

Fauna:
waiting to get tank settled first
CRS
RCS
Dwarf Puffers
Neon Tetras

Dosing:
Plantex CSM+B
Potassium Nitrate
Mono Potassium Phosphate
(not dosing yet, but will soon)
Excel

Maintenance:
a cheap pump from home depot to pump water in and out of tank straight to sink
3 minute water change :p
Water changes every other day for a week or 2
2 or 3 bubbles a second on co2

Thoughts:
1.I want to get the HC carpet done, but i wasn't sure if i should for for the 4x 24watts fixture?
I would hang the light if i did go for that though.
2. So apparently, my water GH is really high, the test results came between 150ppm to 300ppm. Do I need soft water to have CRS?
If so, should i invest in a RO water system?

I second that Ikea Table name.

I am amazed at how pricey a tank stand can be. It is like. . 40$ for the tank. 300$ for a cheap particle board stand!

For Mini's I think that stand he got is great.

hahah...yup, once i saw that ikea stand, it was perfect, it comes in 3 colors and its easy to drill holes and setup a hanging light system on it
and its only 40bucks!

really? i saw that afa had amanos and dwarf puffers in the same tank and the puffers didnt eat the shrimps
som amanos were smaller than the puffers too

goin pretty good, hc is finally sending out roots!
i had a lil algae but i cleaned it all off, my water levels are fine, just hardness is a lil high
today, i just got my mini-l!
im puttin up second journal now! lol
