Canister filters
So I'm looking to redo my 90 gal planted tank and replace my wet/dry filter with a canister filter. I found out that too much CO2 is lost with a wet dry. I need some reccomendations on good canister filters. I'm looking for something reliable, easy to clean and quiet. It'll be in my livingroom so leaking and dripping water is not an option. If you know where I can get the best prices for the filter that'll be sweet too! Thanks guys!

I just bought the beast of a filter, Fluval FX5. Wanting for it to arrive. I read reviews that said it was surprisingly quiet for how large it is. A lot of people have Eheims here. I was looking at the Eheim 2128 with built in heater and almost got that, but instead opted for the Fluval.

The fluval is supposed to have crazy power...there is a thread out there somewhere (I dont know if it is on this site) that compared the two of them...fluval to the eheim.
Eheim took less power, processed ammonia into nitrates faster...and did a whole lot more. Fluval won out in water flow. Lots of people swear by them, and I have no practical experience with that filter. What I do know is this...eheims are awesome, tough, powerful, quiet, and worth all the hype they get. I like it so much that cleaning it is fun. "WOW, look at all the crap my eheim has been pulling/holding since last month!" Great filters.

I like my Eheim 2213. I have it hooked up to my 60p, roughly 18 gallons and it does a good job. My water is clear and clean.

Yeah you will need to go with a larger Eheim then the one I have.
