This is my first attempt; I can't get the camera to focus but I’ll keep trying to shoot the aquarium.
I’m using a cheep old camera called Kodak DC3200 I think my girlfriends parents got it for free as a bonus for going on a trip. The aquarium is a 20g with a 55w AHsupply PC light, flourite and two Hagen bubble ramp diffusers fed by 2l pop bottles, I dose with a big al's micro+iron and KCl "No Salt" -The red plant in the front was almost dead then I added potassium and five days later it exploded with healthy new growth now its the "rose' in my garden. |

Nice tank! I love how that green fine-leaved plant is orangish toward the top!

When that red plant gets some more growth and you have to trim it, unless you have other plans, send the cuttings to me! It looks ike an Alternanthera variety, and my LFS never gets those in!

Looks good
One suggestion I would make is to neaten up the plants by taking small scissors and trimming the stem roots. It will not harm the plants and it gives them a crisper look. The hygro's are notorious for them dang roots ! Nice job on your tank , Buck 8)

Thanks Guys :!:
I'll snip those water roots now that i know i can I'm wondering how you go about mailing plant cuttings :?: what is it going to cost for postage ect.. I have some new plans for this tank, I'm not very happy with the short weedy look of the sunset hygro and i would like to add a forground plant and trim the middle plants away from the front a bit more. the tank is jamed with plants but thats what i want, I just want it to look a little cleaner. |
