"easy" plants not doing well in my tanks?

Ive recently started having issues keeping "easy" plants alive. Cabomba, java fern, somesort of lilly ( bulb from petsmart-reddish leaves) bolbitis all failing in my tank. All either turning dark green or turning to mush. The lilly has semi transparent leaves as they grow in. CO2 looks like fog ( diffused through powerhead--at least 3 bps ) 2x 21W T5NO and 1x 24W T5HO for 8 hours, EI dosing using dry ferts ( NPK, CSM+B, GH Booster, Fe ), aquasoil amazonia II. pH 6-6.5 kH and gH 2-3. Limno aromatica, Blyxa japonica, crypts, sunset hygro, alterna reineckii all growing decent to well. I took out 25 stems of Blyxa last night--from 6 that I planted a few weeks back. Ive trimmed the aromatica and hygro a couple of times already. The other plants just look bad.

Ive also recently gotten some green fuzzy algae showing up--looks like green hair growing off the glass and wipes off easy.

Thanks for any input.

I had similar problems in mine, started using excel a couple weeks ago following the recommended dose and the improvement in plant growth is huge already.

My java fern always looked like crap. It's supposed to be the easiest plant possible, but it's the only one I can't get to look nice. It grows mind you. Grows like mad, but the leaves are all raggedy.

I feel for you man. I have a 7 gallon bookshelf tank and two weeks ago I got the urge to rescape and clean the gravel. I ended up in a tear down, washing gravel.. everything melted. Luckily I had the filter media saved so I am not faced with a complete cycle too adding insult to injury.
