I also live about 5 minutes from That Fish Place. Last time I was there about 3 weeks ago I noticed that they got rid of their main planted tank in the fish room and replaced it w/a 90+ cube filled w/ a bunch of crypts and a handful of Denison Barbs. The scape on the cube is really nice! Also noticed that they have small Denison Barbs @ $12.99 right now too!!!

I'm going to take a drive down to That Fish Place one day I'm off. From the pics it reminds me of Costco lol. Going to make sure I have money to spend too. There's bound to be some things I need/want...and probably things I don't

I'd love to check that fish place out but its too far of a drive for me .

I have one of those big cube aquariums (56g) from petsmart. Absolutely love it. So much easier to scape a square tank than the long narrow 55's. Even though the surface area is less, I feel like the fish have more room. Kinda like living in a room vs a hallway.

I just got back from That Pet Place...it was a pretty good drive from my house (about an hour and half,) but completely worth it. I got some Rainbowfish that I had only been able to find online, and a beautiful Angelfish. They definitely had a great selection of freshwater fish, both community and not (ie, Cichlids,) as well as a ton of good salt stuff. They had some killer deals on tanks too...actually, their pricing on pretty much everything I looked at was really good. They have some spectactular terrariums set up in their reptile/amphibian area too, as well as a good selection of animals there. Despite the drive, I can see myself making the trip the next time I am setting up an aquarium (or terrarium) or want something a little unusual. The selection of LFS in MD is starting to get pretty terrible.

I've seen his tank. It's actually labeled as a 56 column. I had one of those about 10 years ago. Great tank for tall plants, lousy for foreground plants like hc unless you use mh lighting.

That fish place has some great prices and their fish and plant selection is excellent. I frequent the hidden reef more often than TFP because of the drive

Not to mention the fact that hidden reef has the best prices on hardware around. They are starting to get a bit pricey on some fish and plant selection has been crappy as of late.

I totally agree. Yeah they're plants have never been my favorite and their fish are a little pricey. I go there for hardware, chems like Excel and Prime and much more. Their low prices on some thing make my jaw damn near hit the floor when compared to the outrageous prices of some other places
