Brooklyn Aqua Auction Fri May 13, 2011 @ 7:30 PM

I am plan on attending and purchasing likely. I wanted to know if anyone else was planning to go. I would like to host a get together afterwards at my pizzeria/restaurant in Williamsburg (everyone is welcome to eat free). I am driving there and back to Williamsburg afterwards. I'd say we can go for drinks after considering Friday nights is nothing but hot 25-30 year old single girls everything but I have to work (and I live there). Needless to say if anyone wants to go out afterwards I can send you in the right direction with a few referrals. PM me, please provide a phone number as I am driving a lot.

I was actually going to ask if anyone else was going earlier in the week but never got around to it. Still interested in seeing if anyone's going tomorrow, these BAS meetings never sounded like something I'd attend alone.

I wish I could go to one of these auctions. If I ever do I'll bring a handful of my plants and shrimps. I'm in a bowling league though. 3 more weeks and I'm finished for the summer.

Yeah, I sorta get it.. BAS has a pretty poor rep with the more advanced aquarists, but it's like the only aquarium club in NYC (not counting the strangely mysterious Greater City club) so I always feel like I should give it a whirl.

What do you mean the greater city club is mysterious? I am thinking of going to their next meeting.

It's nothing serious, I just always thought it was weird how seemingly no one is a member of Greater City and less than a handful have even heard of it. If you go, let us know how it is.
