Sad and happy story..

So evidently this morning while my dad was on his way to work, he began to see dead kittens laying on the road every couple hundred feet.

Just before he turned onto the road to his work, he saw a kitten that was laying in the middle of the road. This kitten was still alive, somehow after being dropped or thrown out of a car.

Anyways, has anyone else had an experience like this? We now have about a 4 week old kitten in our house, along with 2 dogs, 2 other cats, and a bunch of fish

She's so cute. Her 'unofficial name' is "LUCKY"

Thank goodness for your Dad coming across that little feller.
Hope Lucky doesnt have any serious injuries. I would get her into the vet immediately if i were you.

Anyone who just dumps an animal off anywhere other than a shelter is doing a very cruel act. The vast majority of them die slow prolonged painful deaths due to starvation and sickness. That person who threw those kittens to their deaths is a psychopath and a scourge to society. They need to be locked up and have the key thrown away.

Never argue with a fool. Onlookers often can't tell the difference.
Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional.
My advice is free and worth every penny.

Cat snip, then you do not have unwanted or feral cats.
Worth the few $ to have it done and is much better, wise and likely cost less.

If you keep pets, offer them good humane care.

Otherwise, please do not breed yourself.

She has already been taken to the vet. She was in their care all day, and she has checked out as "bruised and banged up, but no major injuries" they estimated her at 5-6weeks. She's a cutie.

Two kinds of people on display here. The dirtbag who threw these kittens to their deaths and then your father who this world could use many more of. Lots of people would have just kept right on driving. Your dad is a class act guy.

Glad to hear she got a clean bill of health. Rethink the name lucky, IME as a vet tech, they rarely end up that way!

I hope your referring to the person who decided to throw the cats out the window. My dad was late to work and a VERY important meeting to save the little guy. Luckily my parents are both animal lovers, as am I.

My dad told them the meeting would have to wait and he took the kitten back to our place. Then my mom drove to the vets

She's a beaut! Solid grey upper body with a white bearded neck and white paws. BEAUTIFUL )

People who do not care for them should not breed themselves and teach the same behavior. I have almost had quite a few kitties here and there, but found owners or the right folks to take them. My sister is a cat lady and my mother is as well.

This one looks good and is a keeper.

You might call animal services about the deaths.
It's only when they see or get a report that they can enforce and do anything

Thanks Tom!

She is chowing down on some mushed up stinky kitten food right now. For the next 2-3 weeks our vet suggested we feed her every 5-7 hours. So...looks like I'm on feeding duty!

sleeping...she likes to stay close and warm. one of my eyes closed... one open... ftw

In some states this kind of animal abuse is a felony.

BTW dogs have a master, but cats have staff.

Unfortunately my dad didn't see them do it. I bet it was sometime early hours (3-5 AM) because the one that he rescued had a little dried blood on its nose/eye. It's a felony in our state... but you have to have evidence.. and we don't unfortunately.
