Best DIY CO2 receipies out there?

Due to bills I will be making my CO2 for the 29G tank. I've read many receipies. What do you use and how long does it last. I'm looking at the sugar, yeast, geletin formulas. I'm using soda bottles, airline tubing, and airstone. I have a gatorade bottle between the soda bottle and tank.
And all you high techers out there, I can't afford fancy gadgets so please don't answer to buy one.

I add 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 tsp. yeast, a pinch or two of baking soda and fill the soda bottle up with warm water to the bend, then shake it pretty well for about 5 seconds and hook up the tubing.
This gives me over 1 bubble/ Second, and lasts me a good 4-6 weeks before slowing down and stopping.

I used the wine or champagne yeast in the usual recipe. I also added 1/2 tsp. of protein powder. worked fast and good, like 14 bubbles per minute for 2 weeks then slowly petered out.

myself I would use dextrose over table sugar since it is more readily fermentable. and it requires no extra processing by the yeast.
Table sugar is Sucrose. Sucrose is a combined molecule of one glucose and one fructose. While glucose is prefentially fermented over fructose in most conditions; both are completely fermentable. Invertase is an enzyme within yeast cells that breaks the sucrose apart into glucose and fructose.

I'm using 3 cups of sugar, one tsp of yeast, one tsp of baking soda, in a 3 liter bottle. I get good production for about 3 weeks, enough for a 45 gallon tank.

Expect leaks, buy a tube of 100% silicone as well. You don't want the kind that prevents mold growth.

I've been using LaLvin Wine yeast on my DIY before. It ferment faster than regular yeast. I think its LaLvin EC-1118.
