Where to buy small driftwood around Buffalo

I've been looking for some interesting but small driftwood since I have a small tank, but all I can find around here is larger stuff that's over a foot long. (I have to admit, I didn't look for driftwood when I went to the fish place in NT)
Has anyone seen anywhere that does have some interesting but smaller pieces?

The Fish Place in NT has a section for driftwood. Its where I bought all my driftwood. They primarily get the real driftwood in the spring thru fall but they pretty much always have those man-made driftwood thats nailed on a slate. The man-made ones do not have tannins from my experience but the real driftwood have more unique shapes/sizes, makes the water brown(tannins) for the first few months, and feel heavier.

Or you could collect your own if you can find a place clear from a bunch of runoff or any other contaminants, but I don't know what the land is like around Buffalo.

All but one of my pieces of driftwood came from the Wilson-Tuscarara State Park in Niagara County. The park is next to Lake Ontario and has a long beach. During the off season the park staff doesnt clean the beach as often so there is better selection. BTW I didn't even come close to spelling Tuscarara correctly

I had thought about getting my own driftwood from nature, but the thought of sticking my hands into 33 degree water or sifting through the mud and snow just didn't sound like as much fun as looking for driftwood in the other 9 months of the year...
I ended up going to the fish place in NT and dug through a whole bunch of pieces until I found one just the right size that looked interesting enough. Now its soaking.
Just a note, they looked like they did some construction since the last time I was there. They had some new tank stands built. The place was packed today, like there wasn't anything better to do in NT...

It's not...but you get used to it. Also, if you scout out places during the warmer months, often you can return to those mentally marked areas and still find a decent piece beneathe a tree or on a fallen log.

I've got about 3 inches here on the other end of the 990. Its too bad the 68 degrees came before this cold, instead of after it. It looks like it'll be below freezing for the next 10 days at least.

It is a nice 76 degrees in my tank though.

Its always packed like crazy there in the weekends. The lines start forming at the counter. Its a lot more calm in the weekdays though.
