Yeah, to make those pictures much better, would be a flash on top, or putting a tissue in front of your pop-up flash.

Also to have the best result, do not angle the lens at all... Keep it pointed directly perpendicular to the tank glass. This is advice for macro shots.

also, I think the camera you have is only af/s lenses. not sure if they have the ring thing on the lenses for manual focus.

They do. The AF-S means that there is a silent internal autofocusing motor. they're still capable of manual focus which has been the same since about forever.

wasn't sure! I just have used my d80. My son had the d5000 but I haven't played around with it at all.
