Being a former Michiganian(South Lyon), I am glad to know if we ever move back I will know of some people to get plants from. I do also come home once or twice a year and we seem to have a good selection of plants out west and I could most likely bring some back if it is legal?

Nice getting to know you guys... I've mostly buy my plants online since the ones at the lps are relatively expensive and not worth buying.

I get all my plants at Preuss Animal House. They generally have a good selection of healthy plants. I don't think that they're that much more than ordering online if you include shipping costs. Unless you order a boatload of plants at once... then it would definitely be worth your while to get them online.
Plus I generally try as hard as I can to support local businesses.
And their staff are great.

I was born and raised in the UP, even though I have lived in Minnesota since I was a teen. I am kind of a dual citizen, since I live here, but my heart will always be back in the UP. Ah, the small towns and forest everywhere. The areas where I grew up were the places where the nearest neighbor is a quarter mile down the road. Of course, there is also the constant game of swerve to avoid the deer, which I would pass on, but other than that, I loved the UP. I would go back if I thought I could get a job that pays like the one I am at right now. Unfortunately, small towns don't pay like big cities.

I am an expert on algae, so ask me if you have questions. I know how to grow it, just not how to get rid of it.

I'm definitely going back. I just have to figure out how to make enough money up there to pay off my student loans...
