Stocking a 6
I recieved an Eclipse Six as a gift, and am going to go ahead and do a small planted tank. I think I will either breed some cherry shrimp in it or stock 3 panda corys. However, I am still open for suggestions, and since there are very few fish that would fit comfortably in such a small tank I wanted your opinions. Any fish in this tank would only be there for about 6 months. Thanks in advance.

go ahead and put in three or so ottos, a few shrimp, and some neons. That would look really sweet

I don't know if this is overstock or not, but I would just put a small school of 4-5 neon tetras and 2-3 otos.
I don't think neon tetras would require much space unless your 6g is somewhat like a jungle then I would go with a different choice. |

If you use small fish and shrimp and do a decent job of cycling, you can get a lot in there without much of a problem. My Eclipse 6 has about 30 guppies in there of the common variety, and about a dozen ghost shrimp. It is also planted, though not heavily. The water quality is high enough that I haven't lost a single ghost shrimp and they are kind of sensitive to water conditions.

Well i traded the eclipse for a Minibow 7 and got it setup yesterday. I decided to stick with a small tank because it fit so well in my room, and couldn't find the fish I wanted locally, which were a pair of German Blue Rams and a pair of bristlenose plecos. Well today I went to two stores looking for some fish for my tank and of course, found a bunch of great looking bristlenose plecos and rams. Oh well...I assume that the rams would not do well in the 7 because there would not be enough room for the female to escape the male if he got aggressive?
