Live food around the city

It's getting warmer (kinda) and I thought there are some places to find copepods and such in parks and lakes. I remember there being a thread like this before, couldn't find it.

So has anyone successfully taken water from central park and gotten some micro bugs to feed their fish

I'm following this, as this is an interesting topic.

I'd be too scared to introduce anything from pond or lake waters into my tanks, but have considered it.

If you're looking for copepods, I got plenty in my shrimp tank you can have. I wish shrimp would eat this stuff... What kind of fish do you have that eat this?

I don't have any experience but I assume that all my fish would eat them. I have chili rasboras, espei rasboras, guppies, pygmy corries, generally small fish.

I would be a lil wary of introducing things that would eat fry from some local lake waters.I've been looking for local micro, grendal, white worms or vinegar eels. Some killies I picked up layed eggs and need food for the fry. BBS is to much work.
