I think everyone has plants they can't get to do well. I annihilated a hapless val and crypt parva just hates me.

My condolences, I too had some wallichii pass. Their beautiful yellow and red hues will not be forgotten.

I have even killed java fern. But I think because it was rather high up towards my lights since it was on my driftwood. My driftwood is now rearranged and the ferns are towards the bottom now. It's doing much better now.

I've had tonina melt on me a couple of times also. That sucked. Right now I'm trying to get rotala mexicana goias going. I was rather disappointed when a member in the SnS sent me those stems. They were less than an inch long and dried out because he didn't put water in the bag.

Ooof. D: You're welcome to any of my plants if you see any you like! I can trim them a bit. I actually kinda need to work out how in the world I'm gonna separate my Crypt wendtii var tropica if you like those. It's exploded on me.

I've been watching for too long : )

The idea of a planted tank community here in SA would be a nice touch. We have a Cichlid and Saltwater Club but where is the planted tank club?

Anyways...

No one else shared but Bear Sage so maybe I can start people sharing. Currently we have 4 display tanks up; 36g bowfront, 29g planted, 29g saltwater, 10g planted.

The 36g is just a planted tank at the moment with about 25 neon tetras, a good dozen shrimp and 3 otos. I think we may add some juvi Discus to it.

The 29g planted has 4 Rams in it, 1 male and female longfin GBR, 1 Golden Balloon (female), and a wild caught female (she's actually very colorful). There are also a few kuhlis and amanos as well.

The 10g planted is just Regal, our bettas tank. We had cpds in with him but they slowly died off. He's pretty laid back so he may end up with other tankmates.

The 29g saltwater is our newest addition. Its a convert from a planted. Currently it houses a Coral Beauty, McCosker's Wrasse, Yasha Goby, and Hectors Goby. There are a few species of LPS and softies too.

First off Adam, you really need to educate your two associates. Really nice guys but if it doesn't eat with polyps, they're clueless.
With that out of the way, I'm digging that crypt in pic one. also what is that bush in pic two? i likey.

I can't sleep. Is anyone awake to talk fishes and plants with me?

I got my baby red rillis in their tank. The tank is bare except for some moss. I need to cut stems from my tank. I'll take some pics of my tanks today. We have 7 around our apartment. We have a 1 gallon that we set up when one of our fish have fry.

The bush looking thing is actually a hygrophila corymbrosa var. compact. There is another one behind the red ludwigia in the first picture.

I hate it when I couldn't sleep. I need to reroot some plants. I'm not sure if I can do a water change with two momma shrimps berried in the tanks.

I also may move my crypt wendtii var tropica... one side is kinda packed and the other is a bit empty.

Lol they got it for a terrarium among other plants floating after shipments. The old man hooked me up with it and some willow moss. I spend the duration of my time in there geeking about politics and the spurs, so I didn't get details.
