Question about Eclipse 2 hood and others. (56k Warning)
So below i have posted a few pictures of my tank currently those were taken today 2/18/11. Now from what you see is an extra light strip i had previously before i got the eclipse 2 hood. Now my question is with the total wattage now at 68watts is it ok to use Excel as a substitute for a co2 canister? Also with the overlapped back part of the hood that covers the filter is getting in the way of the light strip so what i was thinking was cutting that overlapping part off or constructing some acrylic enclosure of some sort. How would i go about doing this. oh and the tank is a 20gal high, and yes those are three blood parrots.

You might consider just removing the rear panel and putting some other piece of flat plastic over the biowheel and filter compartments.
For the number of plants you have in the tank, CO2 supplements are probably unnecessary.
