amphirion's 7x7x7" Nano (FAIL) Cube...
hello all,
first of all i call it a fail cube, because: 1) it isnt a true cube as established in this thread: http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/pl...ized-pico.html 2) the glass isnt made for nice viewing...bubbles are found throughout the glass and the glass is slightly textured, making it objects within it slightly blurry....welp, what can you do? ---and keep your expectations low...that way, results will always be better than expected. so here we go: tank specs: 7x7x7" cube (~1.5 gallons) archaea 27W power compact clamp light fixture red sea nano filter substrate: ADA powersand & Florabase seiryu stones provided by yaouch progress: top view: ![]() view #1: ![]() view #2 (i slightly like this perspective better--same setup): ![]() the classic 3/4 myspace photo headshot:

lol dollface.
very nice l like the subtrate and how natural it looks. One thing l might comment on is how you have the front rocks berried into the gravel and spread soil in between, well l think it would improve a bit if you added just a bit more gravel in the top left it would be perfect. Also kudos on rock placement. A lot of people seem to just throw the rocks around and make it look like a after thought and that's ok because their learning still but sinking them to the gravel really improves the effect on the whore scape in that it looks more like one entire rock piece like amano mentions.

So are you going to run pressurized on this thing? I kid, really. You'll probably be able to pull it off without a hitch What are you thinking for flora?

@dollface: yep. The good ol' diy yeast reactor setup. The tank is small and it hasn't failed me yet. UG is definitely going to be used. So will mini pellia. I want really small plants. Tiandra might make an appearance and so could nana petite. We shall see
@shadow: k. Thanks. |

Hah, I've seen those vases in at Michael's and always wondered about how that rippled glass would work for a little tank.
However, you have not failed yet. Don't be so hard on yourself...

so i clipped the tree and made it smaller---i think it looks much better and less obtrusive to the rest of the scape. my mini pelia came in as well...big shoutout to bigstick---generous portion of minipelia, algae free---and perfect for what i the setup i am trying to do! i am also using this thread to show people how UG can be propagated using its leaves. The UG leaves came from a recent trim from my 2.5 gallon tank.
